| @#$!!#$ Outlook Junk Folder |
[Apr. 28th, 2009|09:15 pm] |
L: So-and-so said he never got my email. C: It's possible. Sometimes valid emails get put in the junk folder. L: Even from people you've had emails from before? C: Sure! [opens up Outlook Junk Folder] They land right--SONOFABITCH! L: What? C: There's an email here from someone from two weeks ago. This is so not junk. Goddamnit.
So... thanks, So-and-so, for triggering this inquiry and making me find the email. And fuck you, Outlook Junk Folder! |

| Good Times |
[Mar. 28th, 2009|07:44 am] |
From our Beast Hunters game last night:
Andy: "Qhurik, there are ways to communicate other than carving into people's faces." Lukas: "Other ways not as good."
That was a great time. We ran overtime by quite a bit, but it was totally worth missing the Sea Dracula game to finish this one up. I'm surprised at how much we managed to cram into the extended time slot.
Soon, back to Gamestorm for more! :) |

Last night, in my car.
D: Thanks for driving me to the phone-a-thon. Me: No problem. Do you now how long it'll take? D: No idea. Me: Maybe you can call me when you're done. Do you have a phone? D: *blink blink* Me: Oh. Riiiight. |

Count is at 35,030. Two days of 7,500 left to go. That's doable, given that I did 9,000 today. |

| Mad Nano Dash Update |
[Nov. 27th, 2008|06:32 pm] |
|
After 5K on Monday, 8K on Tuesday, and 6K yesterday, today's 0 so far. Thanksgiving, plus a killer headache I can't shake even after Ibuprofen and two doses of Tylenol. Still, gotta spend the evening typing as long as I can, then go to work tomorrow morning :/ |

| LittleBigPlanet |
[Nov. 1st, 2008|10:34 am] |
| [ | mood |
| | excited | ] | It's been a long time since I've been really infatuated with a video game. I was expecting to really like LittleBigPlanet, or LBP, but now that it's here it strikes me how good it really is. If you've got a chance--and I know that PS3s are, sadly, still very expensive--treat yourself to this gem.

[Oct. 15th, 2008|07:58 pm] |
Dear Readers of this journal,
If at this point in time you are supporting John McCain over Barack Obama, I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to move you from my F-List to my FU-List.
Sincerely,
The guy who, sadly, can't vote here yet and depends on all of you for choosing positive solutions over ignorance and bigotry. |

| Female Muay Thai |
[Sep. 7th, 2008|06:14 pm] |
If any of you knew about this and didn't tell me, I'm not sure I can forgive you.
The director of Ong Bak and Tom Yum Goong apparently made another kickass Muay Thai movie--with a female lead:
Also, witness the parts at the end showing real on-set accidents. Jeeja is definitely living up to Tony Jaa's toughness. |

| Beast Hunters on Virtual Play |
[Sep. 1st, 2008|06:14 pm] |
Mel White has this really cool podcast about RPGs, which includes not only discussions about the games, but substantial audio excerpts of actual sessions. In his most recent episode, you'll find a section on Beast Hunters, including one of those sections where you can listen to him and Dave playing the game at Dexcon. The Beast Hunters part starts at 28:15 into the show, but you should do yourself a favor and listen to the whole thing. :) |
